Day 1. Yerevan – meeting – city-tour

Arrival to Yerevan,

Meeting at "Zvartnots" International airport,

Transfer to the hotel,

After little rest at the hotel meet your tour guide and start city tour round Yerevan. It is the 13th capital of the Republic of Armenia, one of the world's oldest cities, which was founded in 782 BC. During the tour visit Erebouni Museum of the History of the Foundation of Yerevan which stands at the foot of the Arin Berd hill, on top of which the Urartian Fortress Erebouni has been constructed. The next visit is Matenadaran - one of the unique Institutes of Ancient Manuscripts in the world. Transfer to restaurant for a welcome dinner with live folk-music. Overnight at the hotel (Yerevan).

 

Day 2. Yerevan – Dilijan

Breakfast at the hotel,

Drive to Lake Parz (''Clear''Lake) which is situated in 7 km from Dilijan resort city. In this peacefull and nice place, that is quite far from city noise, we’ll have a barbecue party on the lakeside. Here the guests will see master-class of making a real Armenian “khorovats” (barbecue), also will see how is made Armenian traditional bread “lavash”. This will be the best way to get acquainted with Armenian culture and hospitality and have an unforgettable time. Back to Dilijan city. Ovenight in hotel (Dilijan).

 

Day 3.  Dilijan – Sevan – Yerevan 

Breakfast at the hotel,

Walking tour in Old Dilijan. We always advise to have a walk in this beautiful city and not to loose the chance to see the narrow colorful streets of Old Dilijan.

Trip to Goshavank (12-13th centuries) and  Haghartsin (10-13th c.) monasteries which became  a cultural and religious centers in the 12th century. Trip to the "Armenian Pearl" - Lake Sevan which is the 2nd high-altitude and largest lake in the world with its sweet and astonishingly blue water. Visiting Sevanavank (9 c.) on Sevan peninsulahere the guests will have an opportunity to taste famous Armenian fish “Sig” and “Ishkhan”.

Transfer to Yerevan – pink miracle of Armenia, check-in in the hotel. Overnight in hotel (Yerevan).

 

Day 4. Yerevan – Garni – Geghard – Yerevan

Breakfast at the hotel,

Drive to Garni Temple (1st A.D.) dedicated to the god of sun Mithra which  is the only "witness" of Hellenistic Epoch in the territory of CIS and the only standing pagan temple in RA after Armenia addopted Christianity. Continue the tour to Geghard Monastery Complex (12-13thcentury AD).The name 'Geghard' is the Armenian word for 'spear' with which Roman soldiers wounded Jesus Christ while he was being crucified and the spear was preserved here for many years. Hundreds of Khachkars and caves are built in the rocks surrounding the Monastery. Geghard and the Upper Azat Valley are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Luch in a local restaurant that is situated above the gorge of the river Azat with amazing view to rocky hills. Return to Yerevan with stop at the Charents's Arch. It is from here that the Greatest Armenian poet of 20th century admired the view of the double-peaked Ararat. Drive to Hotel. Overnight at the hotel (Yerevan).

 

Day 5. Yerevan – Khor- Virap – Noravank – Areni – Yerevan 

Breakfast at the hotel,

First trip to Khor Virap (4-18th cc..) Monastery Complex, one of the religious centers in Armenia where Gregory the Illuminator (the fisrt Catholicos in Armenia) was kept in a dungeon for 13 years. On the way to Khor Virap you can enjoy the spectacular view of the sacred Ararat Mountain - an immortal symbol of Armenia. Then excursion to Noravank Monastery Complex (13-14th centuries) situated among amazing sheer rocks on the bench of a twisty gorge. After that you'll enjoy your dinner in a grotto with a spirit of mystery and antiquity. On your way back you will visit Areni. The village of Areni is famous for its excellent wine, which you are welcome to taste. Drive to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel (Yerevan).

 

Day 6. Yerevan – Echmiadzin – Zvartnots – Yerevan 

Breakfast at the hotel,

Tour to one of the 13 capitals of Armenia Vagharshapat where you will visit oldest official Christian church in the world - Mother Cathedral of Echmiadzin (the official residence of the Catholicos of all Armenians) and the church of Holy Virgin Hripsime: the centre-domed cruciform church (618).  Also visiting “Gandzatun” museum. The sacred relics of the church are kept in the museum - the spear by which the body of Christ has was pierced, the fragment of Noah's Ark, John Baptist's patella, a piece of the wooden cross on which Jesus was crucified, and finally, the fragment of the crown of thorns of the Savior. On the way back visiting Zvartnots Temple ruins (7th century AD) which is a mixture of Armenian and Buzandian architectural solutions. Return to Yerevan.

Excursion to Ararat Brandy factory, tour in the factory with local guide and

Overnight at the hotel (Yerevan).

 

Day 7. Yerevan – departure 

Breakfast at the hotel,

Free time.

Visiting Vernisage – “open air museum”, a place where you can buy souvenirs.

Transfer to airport.

Check-in support,
